On the re-signing front, Jordon Sweet (Bulldogs) will stay for another two years and Chris Scott has had his deal with the Cats extended.
Thanks for all the comments and interactions, we will be back with more AFL trade period live blogs next week starting early on Monday morning and weâll have much more stories and coverage across the weekend.
But until next week, bye for now.
North Melbourne secured former Tigers ruckman Callum Coleman-Jones in a trade that saw Richmond land experienced defender Robbie Tarrant with the Kangaroos handing over Tarrant, pick 40 and their future second round pick for Coleman-Jones, picks 42 and 47, and a future fourth round selection.

Robbie Tarrant is heading to Richmond, Callum Coleman-Jones is on his way to North Melbourne and some picks are also changing hands after the two clubs completed a trade this afternoon.
Richmond will receive Tarrant and a future second-round pick from North Melbourne and a third-round selection (currently No. 40 overall).
In exchange, Coleman-Jones has departed the Club after four seasons and nine games. North Melbourne will also receive two third-round selections (currently No. 42 and No. 47 overall) and Richmondâs future fourth-round selection.
Richmond football talent general manager Blair Hartley praised Tarrantâs experience in defence.
âWe are very excited to welcome Robbie to our football club,â he said.
âRobbie is a disciplined and diligent defender with a skill set that complements our other backs well.
âRobbie has played at an outstanding level for an extended period of time, and we believe he has plenty more good football left in him.
âWe are all looking forward to seeing Robbie in the yellow and black.â
Hartley also wished Coleman-Jones well.
âWe would like to thank Callum for his four years with us and wish him all the best,â he said.
UPDATED: Richmond and North Melbourne could complete their deal for Callum Coleman-Jones today with AFL.com.au reporting the deal is almost complete.
AFL.com.au reports a Roos future second-round pick will be the centre-piece while Robbie Tarrant, who plans to join the Tigers as a free agent, will also be part of the deal to allow the Tigers to keep their compensation pick for losing Mabior Chol.
They are also reporting that the Roos will get Coleman-Jones, pick 42, 47 and a future fourth round pick and the Tigers will get Tarrant, pick 40 and a future second round pick.
Time will tell if it gets done today.
Carlton list manager Nick Austin says Lewis Young was the best available option to boost the clubâs defensive stocks this year.
Young moved to the Blues in a three-team trade on Thursday from the Western Bulldogs.
âLooking at the draft itâs quite thin in the key position stocks,â Austin told AFL trade radio on Friday.
âAt 22, Lewis has had a good grounding at the Western Bulldogs, weâre excited by how heâll develop.â
Young told AFL trade radio he didnât make his final decision until the Bulldogs lost out in the grand final and he could speak with his family.
Young believes he can fill a defensive post with the Blues where as he was a fringe player and backup ruckman at the Bulldogs.
âIt was probably after the season,â Young said.
âI was really invested in the finals. After the season, I went back and spoke to my family and my management and we felt that it was the right time for me as a player to make the move.â
Western Bulldogs believe Jordon Sweetâs best football is yet to come after re-signing the young ruckman until the end of 2023.
The 23-year-old was pick 23 in the 2018 rookie draft and he made his debut in round five this season against Gold Coast.

Bulldogsâ general manager of list management and football projects Sam Power said Sweet was important to the club.
âWeâre thrilled that Jordon will be continuing his football journey as a Bulldog,â Power said.
âHis ruck craft and ability to give midfielders first-use has come on in leaps and bounds, and we saw glimpses of what he can do at AFL level earlier in the season.
âWe know Jordon still has plenty of growth to come, so weâre looking forward to seeing his development continue to evolve.â
Geelong ruckman Darcy Fort remains the Brisbane Lions ruck target but the Cats are yet to open the door for the contracted 28-year-old.
The Cats have shown preliminary interest in the Hawks Jonathon Ceglar with the Bulldogs not going down that track having extended Jordon Sweetâs contract and with Stef Martin set to re-sign also, Ceglarâs preference is to stay in Victoria ruling out any chance he goes to the Lions.
The Hawks have their eyes on Collingwoodâs Max Lynch.
Geelong coach Chris Scott will be awarded a two-year contract extension, as the Cats look to remain in premiership contention next season.
Scott, the 2011 premiership coach, had a year to run on his contract but there had been speculation about his future amid upheaval at GMHBA Stadium after the Cats were crunched by eventual premier Melbourne in a preliminary final in Perth.

However, new Cats chief executive Steve Hocking and the board have backed Scott in.
Assistant coaches Matthew Scarlett, Matthew Knights and Corey Enright have left. James Kelly, a three-time premiership Cat, has rejoined the club as an assistant, while Eddie Betts, the former Blue and Crow, will be a part-time development coach. Assistant coach Nigel Lappin remains.
